Resolution

  • Resolution refers to size of the display in terms of pixels. E.g. Resolution of 1920×1080 pixels means that the there are 1920 pixels horizontally and 1080 pixels vertically.
  • So therefore there are a total of 2073600 pixel in the display.
  • Resolution is just the number of pixels on the display and this property alone does not measure the quality of display.

Different types of Resolution

  • 720p = 1280 x 720 - is usually known as HD or “HD Ready” resolution.
  • 1080p = 1920 x 1080 - is usually known as FHD or “Full HD” resolution.
  • 1440p = 2560 x 1440 - commonly known as QHD or Quad HD resolution.
  • 2160p = 3840 x 2160 - commonly known as 4K, UHD or Ultra HD resolution.
  • 4320p = 7680 x 4320 - is known as 8K and it offers 16 times more pixels than the regular 1080p FHD.

  • The below picture is very clear because of high resolution.
  • The below figure have low resolutions see.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Resolution
  • The advantage is very clear any thing you see. And you can see very large resolution images in large display as well as small display.
  • The Disadvantage is resolution will be high size is also high then it will take more to see.
